Basement Homes in Raleigh, Clayton Area….
Not too many right? Why are there not as many basement homes in North Carolina? The simple answer is that there is no need for them, basements homes up north in States like New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts are common because the foundation of the homes had to be below the frost line to prevent frost heave which could move the foundation of a home. In warmer climates like Raleigh and Clayton, no need for the extra expense.
But if you are relocating to North Carolina from New York, New Jersey or Pennsylvania……. and I know you are! Where do you put all your STUFF!! That is a common remark I hear from folks relocating south, “where am I going to store all my stuff?” A basement is a wonderful storage area and you can stash a lot of belongings down there.
