Portofino is a wonderful community in Clayton,North Carolina. It is a 400 plus acre property with fewer than usual home sites, quite remarkable in todays world of development. There are miles and miles of walking trails that wander through the different communities, through the woods and to the Neuse River. There is a magnificent salt water beach entry pool and an Italian styled Piazza and Clubhouse for the lucky residents who call Portofino home. School students using Johnston County Schools are currently enrolled in River Dell Elementary, Archer Lodge Middle and Corinth Holders High School. Johnston County Schools are on a traditional school calendar at this time, but this could change at any time as could the school assigned to this and all neighborhoods.
