Glen Laurel Market Report July 2014
There were 5 homes sold in the Glen Laurel subdivision in Clayton, NC in July 2014. What’s interesting is they were all older homes, mid Nineties, early 2000’s and none sold over $300,000. There are 10 new construction homes for sale in Glen Laurel, most either just finished or close to being finished so we’ll see what happens with them in the next few months. When you look at days on market for new homes you have to remember that they are normally listed just after they are framed which is still 2-3 months before they are finished.
The homes that did sell were as I mention in the video, either on the golf course, had lots of upgrades and mature landscaping or had deep discounts. Older homes with really nice upgrades, possibly a new roof, new AC unit on a premium lot will attract buyers! Three of the homes sold in Glen Laurel in July sold in less than 30 days. A 20 year old house with original appliances, roof, heating and air conditioner will be a hard sell, especially with 50 plus homes on the market.
