Doing A Pre Drywall Inspection On Your New Home
I always recommend when clients are building a new home to have a pre drywall inspection done even when it is with a custom builder. The peace of mind in A. knowing there is nothing wrong with the house and B. knowing you picked the right builder is well worth the cost of the inspection.
Peace Of Mind Is Priceless
Yesterday Jayme Clark of Clear Choice Home Inspections did a pre drywall inspection on a custom home being built for my clients. The home is being constructed by one of the top custom builders in the area who is known for building magnificent, state of the art custom homes. The inspection took almost 3 hours for a 3500 square foot house which is at pre drywall stage. That means that the framers are done, the electrician has installed the can lights, run wires and cables and installed outlet, cable, switch and phone boxes. The plumbers have installed the tubs and the shower liners. The drywall has been delivered and will be installed after the insulation has been put up.
A Pre Drywall Inspection On A Custom Home
This was one of those times when Jayme comes out and says “I’m Impressed” he had found only very minor issues that would be easily remedied. There is a great sense of joy and excitement knowing that your future home is being built by a team that uses best building practices have the highest standards and obviously have a great deal of pride in their work. When you consider the amount of work already done on this house, the number of workers and amount of materials used, it is remarkable that the house was essentially perfect.
