Looking For A Small Neighborhood In Clayton, NC
There are some cool smaller neighborhoods near Clayton, North Carolina that have fewer number of homes, many have either no HOA dues or a minimal amount to upkeep the neighborhood entrance. Some of the neighborhoods are developed and the houses built by the same builder . These neighborhoods around the Clayton area are either almost finished with just a few more lots left to build on or they are in the first stages of development. So they are either going to have new homes for a while or soon there will be no new homes built.
Neighborhoods With No HOA Dues
Here are some of the neighborhoods around Clayton that have homes from the $170,000’s to the mid to high $300,000’s. They all have one thing in common and that is they are not large planned subdivisions like Flowers Plantation or Riverwood Athletic which have multiple neighborhoods within the development. These subdivisions typically have one entrance, the homes are similar in size and price, the lots are bigger and many have trees.
Edenton Is located on Buffalo Road next to River Dell Elementary, homes are priced from the $160,000’s to about $260,000. Homes are on larger lots, some over an acre, many are wooded. In Edenton you will find 3 and 4 bedroom homes about 2200 square feet on average, built from 2000- 2014. There are only a couple of lots left in Edenton and there are currently no HOA dues.
Tafton subdivision currently has no homes for sale but the builder/developer is planning on building homes on the last remaining lots available. In the great school district of River Dell, Archer Lodge and Corinth Holders, homes sold quickly when the market came back in the last 12 months. Tafton has a Wendell mailing address but is in the town of Archer Lodge. The new homes will be priced in the mid to high $200,000’s and resales sell in the low $200,000’s. Large wooded lots with county water and septic tanks, many lots are wooded.
Knolls at the Neuse.
Knolls at the Neuse has homes priced from the mid $200’s bigger 4 and 5 bedroom, 3000 square feet homes are common. This neighborhood has multiple builders and now has more new homes than the rest of the neighborhoods. Lots range in size from a third of an acre to half an acre and most are cleared, some lots have Neuse River access.
Plantation Pointe is another great neighborhood with a good mix of new construction homes and resales. Homes range in price from the mid $200’s to the low $300’s. Plantation Pointe does have a community pool and tennis courts and is very centrally located close to shopping, schools and access to major highways for commuting to the airport and RTP.
Sierra Heights has homes for sale from the $160,000’s. Located in a quiet rural setting but only a short drive to Clayton and Smithfield. Good schools like Riverwood Middle and still in a 100% USDA loan financing area this neighborhood is worth a look if you are looking for a new home near Clayton.
Carriage Creek is a wonderful neighborhood equal distance from Clayton, Smithfield and Willow Springs in a country setting with large wooded and cleared lots. Homes in Carriage Creek range in size from approximately 2200 square feet up to 3000 square feet. The new construction homes are being built by local builder Darryl D. Evans who has been building in the area for over 12 years.
Crystal Creek is a new home subdivision just outside the town of Clayton, North Carolina. The neighborhood is a mixture of ranch and two story homes on large lots in a quiet country setting. Located off Little Creek Church Road the neighborhood is a short drive to downtown Clayton, Smithfield and with the new Hwy 70 Clayton Bypass open connecting Johnston County commuters to Raleigh and Cary.
