Its wonderful to be doing the first market report for Wendell Falls, the new master planned community just east of the capital Raleigh. While the community just opened to home buyers in the last few months there have been construction crews and workers preparing for those new residents for quite a while now. Next to Wendell Falls is a planned 125 acre park that Wake County is working on as part of the Marks Creek Greenway and will be alongside the beautiful Lake Myra. The development has reserved 293 acres of open space and miles of trail as well and if the terrain allows there could be some mountain bike trails next to the falls. In keeping with preserving nature and promoting the outdoors for kids, the development has recruited a company called Asheville Playgrounds who will build a freestanding climber built of locust branches and trunks. This is to be built next to the Falls where there is planned an overlook, picnic area and park next to the stream.
